Park and Garden Amenity Sponsorship
Opportunities exist for you to make a difference by enhancing the community garden or the community park

After the Bulverde Community Park was built, a grandfather who wishes to remain anonymous, took his three granddaughters to the park playground and its splash pad. The girls were so enthralled with the park that the man donated $10,000 per granddaughter to the Friends to install the wonderful play equipment at the North end of the park. We are thankful to that family for their generous community support, You, too, can make a difference by sponsoring a tree, park bench, light post, or by buying a commemorative family or business brick in the garden or park.

The Friends of the Park, through the Bulverde Community Park Association, is a 501(c)(3) corporation; your sponsoring purchase is tax deductible as allowed by law. Consult your tax adviser for more information.

Tree
Add life to our Park by donating a tree. The tree type will vary depending on the needs of the park, but trees include oaks, Elms, Hackberry, and bushes such as Mountain Laurels (Joanne Hall to complete this part). The City Council via recommendation of the Friends of the Parks and the Bulverde Parks Committee makes the final decision on the location and type of tree. Each tree costs $250. In return for your donation, you receive:
-
A tree planted in the park
-
Maintenance of your tree for one year, including watering. (Note: after the first year, the tree takes care of itself!)
-
Recognition on a donor page of this website.
-
A tax deduction as allowed by law
Sponsoring a tree is simple. After making payment for your tree to the Friends of the Park, you will receive a thank-you letter that can be used for tax purposes. After your tree is planted, you will receive a map indicating the location of your tree. Your $250 tree donation comes with a 4x8 inch donor brick that is installed in the park or community garden as near your tree as is practicable. Trees are normally planted between the months of November and March. (Joanne’s input)

Park Bench
Bulverde operates both community parks and a remarkable Community Garden. With so much ground to cover, we believe there are never too many places to rest your legs. If you'd like to sponsor a bench in either the park or the community garden, it makes for a stunning family or business commemoration.
Your $800 bench donation comes with a 4x8 inch donor brick that is installed in the park or community garden as near your bench as practicable. To sponsor your park bench, contact the Friends of the Park at BulverdePark@gmail.com.
